AIDA

Love knows no boundaries. Love follows its own path, even if this leads to destruction. As with the graceful Aida and the proud Radames on Europe's largest nature stage in the Roman quarry in St. Margarethen.

Set designer Manfred Waba rebuilt the ancient Egyptian royal city out of Burgenland sandstone. This unique backdrop was crowned by an ornate obelisk and a 22 -meter-high Sphinx. In the spirit of its creator Giuseppe Verdi, AIDA stood as a colorful and visually stunning spectacle.
