Alexander the Great

Alexander III of Macedonia, better known as Alexander the Great, was the ruler of Macedonia and the leader of the Corinthian League, from 336 BC, up to his death in 323 BC.

The exhibition in Leoben follows the great ruler to Central Asia. The central themes of this expedition, surrounds the interplay and chain of reactions between the differences in cultures in the East of Alexander's Territory and culture.  The consequences of these cultural encounters can be felt centuries later.
